The certification process begins with ANSI C119.4 testing at NEETRAC to assure outstanding thermal and electrical performance of the injection adaptor and the compression connector assembly. To learn more about NEETRAC visit www.neetrac.gatech.edu. Novinium testing does not stop with the required number of thermal cycles … we doubled the ANSI C119.4 requirement! Utilizing a patented circumferential swaging process, Novinium technology provides an electrical connection that is superior to conventional crimping methods. Next, the patented Novinium injection adaptor compression connector assembly (IA assembly) is installed by skilled craftsperson in every component. The entire assembly is sliced in half with state-of-the-art abrasive water jet technology. The dimensions are measured and examined in detail by a licensed professional engineer. The IA assembly must fit well within the conductive insert, and must fall within the specified diameter range of the component manufacturer.

A life-size template of the certified component is drafted. This template is utilized by the field craftsperson who installs each component. That’s right – each person who installs patented and patent pending Novinium technology is trained and certified to the task. The template provides both pre-swage and post-swage dimensions. These dimensions allow the craftsperson to “measure twice and cut once” and then lay the finished work alongside the template to assure the final dimensions are within the required tolerances. This is a more rigorous approach to quality than the industry standard method. Instead of relying upon measurements made with a ruler, which are subject to multiple errors, intermediate and final quality is assured with an unambiguous comparison to the design requirement.
