Novinium’s Norm Keitges Spearheads Patent
OSP Magazine, June 21, 2014
Novinium, a cable rejuvenation technology solutions provider based in Auburn, WA, was recently awarded a patent for its NTer™ process. The patent was spearheaded by the company’s Technical Services Manager, Norm Keitges. The patent was a direct result of Norm Keitges significant cable injection experience. Norm saw the need and worked closely with Novinium CEO Glen Bertini to create and refine the process. The patent was jointly awarded to Glen Bertini and Norm Keitges and is the first for Norm Keitges. The patent speaks directly to Norm’s adoption of Novinium’s culture of mastery, continuous improvement, and innovation. Norm is an IEEE Senior member and frequent Power & Engineering Society presenter with over 30 years experience in fluid mechanics and hydraulics and a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University.
This is Novinium’s second patent in the last 12 months and its 15th patent overall. The United States Small Business Administration has reported that small, innovative firms like Novinium outperform their larger counterparts 13 to 1 in terms of patents per employee.
